Victoria Life Celebration Update – March 16

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for all of your love and support. Sunday was truly a beautiful day.

Randy has a profile on the Times Colonist online if you would like to view it: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/timescolonist/obituary.aspx?n=randall-alexander-adrian-moore-randy&pid=156395123

We are now in Victoria and would like to confirm some details for the Victoria Life Celebration on Friday March 16.

The service will be from 3:30 – 5:00pm at the University of Victoria Multifaith Chapel.

Here is a link to the location on a map: http://web.uvic.ca/multifaith/chapel/chapelmap.html

The Chapel accommodates a service for 120-150 so I would recommend arriving early to get the best seating.

The reception will follow from 5:00 – 9:00pm at the University Club in the Main Banquet Room and Fireside Lounge. http://club.uvic.ca/pages/tourpages/tour_dr.html

There will be a chocolate fountain which I am very excited about and you should be too. Everyone loves chocolate fountains!

We are thrilled to confirm the local band The Push will be performing Motown tunes at the reception – so you should bring your dancing shoes.

Randy’s a huge fan of Motown. Here are some videos he took at The Funk Brothers show which are up on his youtube channel:

And at the After Party:

Some of you have been asking about what to wear. If you have ever wanted to wear a fedora this is the time. Randy always loved dressing up in a suit with a fedora and Calgary brought out some amazing fedoras!

So put on your best Godfather or mafia type suit, or use Randy’s favorite show MadMen or Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack for inspiration or add your favorite Iron Maiden or metal tshirt. Randy would want you to dress your best.

See you Friday!

Love,

Allison

  1. Strange to say it but this looks like it will be a really fun time — just the way Rand would have wanted it to be. It is with great regret that I have to say I won´´t be home in time, but will most certainly be sporting a fedora and dancing it up in spirit. Wish I could be there, and so much love to everyone who will be.
